How to permanently turn off a palette window appearing automatically in AutoCAD

By default selecting in AutoCAD any object (line, circle block) opens a palette window. I personally found this extremely annoying. If you are not sure what to do to turn off the AutoCAD palette window – the micro tutorial below will help you.

Click the tiny gear icon and then click Settings
In a quick properties tab Unselect the checkbox called Display the Quick Properties Palette on Selection (CTRL+SHIFT+P).

It will stop displaying the annoying window for good.
