A few months ago I bought on eBay onboard dash car camera from seller hitechproduct.
Unfortunately the camera stopped working correctly after short time. I was too busy to contact the seller immediately. I did it about 6 months after purchasing the camera.
I hate buying cheap rubbish straight from Chinese sellers so when I was looking for the camera, I chose only UK eBay, hoping I will buy the camera from English seller, getting a proper service and warranty.
I was very surprised, when I found that the camera was bought from Chinese seller. How was it possible? Well, only the item was located in the UK. Seller hitechproduct is based in Hongkong!
Of course this chicky seller refused repairing or changing my camera free of charge. I paid for the item nearly £30 after a big argument they offered me free repairing, if I pay them £12 or so for shipping to HongKong!!! Why I need to pay anything for faulty item? Also, I was NOT warned that the item has only 3 months warranty. Also when I but item on English market I expect to get a proper full 12 months warranty.
So why I decided to say that not only hitechproduct sucks but eBay too?
Because eBay DO NOT care at all about customer who have a problem with item after a few months after purchasing it. Their form will NOT allowed you to contact them if the item if faulty. I can not remember now, I think the form let you contact them only up to 60 days after purchasing. After that time you are a loser!
Of course you can try to send email to Bay but… you will be very surprised too! There is no possibility to send email to eBay because they DO NOT publish their email anywhere at all! Or it is really very well hidden to avoid people contact them!!!
Quick research through google showed me how many people are in very similar situation. However, I found their email at a website and today I decided to send them a question about this situation:
I am very interested, in what words they will tell me f**k you 🙂 Let’s wait for their answer;
You can find thousands unhappy customer – just one example is here.
The blog owner says:
Ebay use to be a fun and friendly company but since their competitors have been knocked out of the competition they have become a monopolistic pig. As with most monopolies these days they tend to become arrogant, inefficient and abuse their power.
So – in my opinion eBay sucks too 🙂
I have just received this email:
Thank you for taking the time to send your email. However, the address you sent the email to is no longer available to contact eBay Customer Support directly.
The best way to contact eBay is to copy the link below into a new browser window. You’ll need to sign in with your eBay user ID:
It takes you to this useless contact form – lovely 🙁
Also I posted link to my article on eBay forum here: http://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Buyer-Central/eBay-sucks/m-p/2941545#M63112 – I course I expect it will be removed 🙂 We will see 🙂 Yes! eBay removed my post! Was it an inconvenient truth?
