02.2005 - 06.2006 I was engineer in Customer Service in ProFuturo, big independent internet provider. Present the company does not exist, it was bought by Netia. ProFuturo was a big internet provider, we gave services for other smaller internet providers, big companies need professional acces to the internet, and also hosting customers, VoIP customers etc.
In ProFuturo I met a lot of great people, but I realised how so big company works!
In The Customer Service my duties were:
- communication with customers throught emails, phones;
- communication with another employee of ProFuturo, on all levels, like technicians, traders, managers, service managers;
- managing of hosting systems like adding DNS records (A, CNAME, RevDNS etc), adding domains into customers panels etc;
- managing of VoIP systems - managing rates, checking records, checking quality of services;
- verification hosting customers problems, giving advices about DNS configurations, some errors of hosting systems, like giving advice about switching on register globals or mod rewrite mode;
- verification of customer problems which bought access to internet, very ofet we had a problem with mistakes in customers routers, my diuty was just check, it was a problem with customer router or really access crash. I used to use tools like ping, tracert, smokeping, bandwidth etc, and also I used to keep contact with Network Management Center, engineers were able to check is radiotransmitter logged itno the network or not;
In spite of realy hard duties, I liked this job.
